1. A Peaceful Morning in the Jungle
The sun’s first rays kissed the tall green trees, painting the jungle in golden light. A cool breeze rustled the leaves, and the sweet scent of wet earth filled the air.
Birds were chirping merrily, monkeys were swinging from branch to branch, and colorful butterflies fluttered like tiny pieces of flying confetti.
In this lively forest lived a cute baby elephant named Golu.
He had tiny round legs, a chubby belly, and a playful little tail. But his most special feature was his long, curious trunk that he loved to swing around.
Golu was the dearest child of his mother, Gauri, a gentle and protective elephant.
Every morning, Golu woke up snuggled in his mother’s trunk.

Half-asleep, Golu rubbed his eyes and asked,

Golu walked into the clearing, swinging his trunk in excitement.

Golu’s little ears flapped with joy.
Monu jumped down from a branch and said,

Golu curled his trunk, took a deep breath, and blew gently.

In the distance, the rumbling sound of trucks and tractors echoed through the forest.
Gauri suddenly froze.
“Golu, stay close to me,” she said in a serious tone.
“I don’t like this sound.”
These were poachers—men who captured young elephants to sell them.
Golu, innocent and playful, didn’t understand the danger, but his mother sensed it clearly.
5. Golu Gets Captured
Suddenly, the trucks burst through the trees.
The men jumped out with nets and ropes.
“Quick! Catch the baby elephant!” one of them shouted.
Monu screamed from a tree,
“Hide, everyone! Poachers are here!”
Golu tried to run, but his little legs were slow.
Within seconds, he was trapped in a large net.
“Moooommy! Help!” he cried loudly.
Gauri charged toward the poachers, trumpeting in anger, but they threw ropes to block her.
Before she could reach him, the men loaded Golu onto the truck.
The jungle fell silent.
Tears rolled down Gauri’s eyes as the truck drove away.
6. The Jungle Friends Make a Plan
That night, the jungle animals gathered under a big banyan tree.
Bhola the Bear growled,
“We can’t leave our friend like this. We must bring Golu back!”
Monu thumped his chest and said,
“Yes! But we’ll need help. Let’s call the forest ranger!”
The forest ranger was a kind man who protected the animals from hunters.
When he heard the story, he immediately said,
“Don’t worry. Tomorrow morning, we’ll follow the truck and rescue your little friend.”
7. Golu’s Courage
Meanwhile, Golu sat shivering inside the moving truck.
The night was cold, and he missed his mother terribly.
“I wish I was home… in Mommy’s trunk,” he whispered to himself.
Then he remembered his mother’s words:
“Golu, brave children never give up in hard times.”
He sniffled, wiped his tears with his tiny trunk, and started pulling at the net.
Slowly, the ropes began to loosen.

At sunrise, the ranger and the jungle friends followed the truck’s trail.
When the poachers stopped near a river to rest, the rescue mission began.
- Monu climbed a tree and started throwing small stones at the men.
- Bhola the Bear roared loudly, scaring them.
- The ranger rushed forward and cut the ropes around Golu.
“Come on, little one! You’re free!” he said.
Golu leapt out of the truck and ran as fast as his small legs could take him—
straight into his mother’s warm embrace.
Gauri wrapped her trunk around him tightly, crying with joy.

The jungle echoed with happy trumpets and cheers.

That evening, the jungle animals threw a second birthday party—
this time to celebrate Golu’s bravery and safe return.
Golu blew the candles again, but before eating the cake, he looked around at all his friends and said,
“Today I learned that courage and friendship can overcome any danger!”
The jungle erupted with applause, chirps, and trumpet sounds.
